Growing Together: Discipleship for 9th & 10th Graders
High school is full of big questions—about who you are, what you believe, and how to live it out. It’s the perfect time to grow closer to Jesus with friends who are on the same journey. Together, you can support each other, dive into Scripture, and grow in faith. In Acts 2:42, we see the early believers “devoted to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship.” When you’re part of a Christ-centered community like that, faith becomes more than knowledge—it becomes a way of life.
Where 9th & 10th Graders Are and Where We're Leading Them
-
Physical & Emotional Development
Teens become more aware of their body image and may experience mood swings as hormones and brain development evolve. Peer influence grows stronger than parental influence, often fueling tension and emotional highs and lows.
-
Intellectual Growth
Students develop the ability to think abstractly, reason logically, and evaluate complex problems. They also begin forming independent beliefs, challenging what they've been taught to make sense of the world.
-
Social Behavior & Relationships
Adolescents learn social norms, explore deeper romantic relationships, and navigate friendships with greater sensitivity and complexity. Peer approval becomes highly influential, shaping many of their decisions and behaviors.
-
Faith & Practice Development
Teens start asking serious questions about faith, God’s will, and how biblical truth connects to their everyday life. They become more consistent in spiritual practices and can take on meaningful roles within their church and community.
We’re so excited to kick off Semester 1 with our 9th & 10th graders using Experiencing God for Teens! This updated and revised study helps students recognize God’s voice and follow His lead in their everyday lives. With eight new sessions and real-life stories from teens, it connects timeless truths with today’s challenges. It encourages students to build a real relationship with God, not just learn about Him. This semester, we’re ready to grow in faith—together.
