Growing Together: Discipleship for 11th & 12th Graders

Junior and senior year is a defining season—a time of big decisions, personal growth, and preparation for what comes next. As students move toward adulthood, they not only need strong community around them but are also uniquely positioned to lead and pour into those coming behind them. Living out their faith means walking with others, serving intentionally, and investing in younger students who are navigating their own journeys. As Galatians 5:13 says, “Through love, serve one another.” In this next chapter, growing in Christ means not just receiving, but giving, guiding, and becoming a light to others.

Where 11th & 12th Graders Are and Where We're Leading Them

  • Who I Am

Upperclassmen are clarifying who they are and what they believe, often challenged by identity questions and increased independence. This includes navigating peer pressure, deeper relationships, and ongoing family tensions.

  • Living Out My Faith

Students begin exploring how their beliefs apply to cultural and social issues around them. They’re thinking critically, asking big questions, and striving to align their lives with God’s truth.

  • Leading & Serving Others

This age group is ready to step into leadership, both formally in church roles and informally as role models. They can powerfully influence younger peers by serving and sharing from their own faith journey.

  • Preparing for What’s Next

With the future in view, students begin taking practical steps toward adulthood—whether through work, managing money, or planning their next chapter. They’re learning to take ownership of their choices, goals, and faith.

This semester, 11th and 12th graders will kick things off with an engaging and practical study: Faith Foundations for Teens, a 4-week resource from one of our favorite companies. Designed specifically for teenagers, this study breaks down the core beliefs of Christianity in a way that’s easy to understand and relevant to their everyday lives. Whether students are new to the faith, curious about what it means to follow Jesus, or looking to strengthen their foundation, this study encourages honest questions and real growth. Topics like salvation, faith, sanctification, and evangelism are explored alongside helpful tools for studying the Bible and sharing the Gospel. It’s a great way for upperclassmen to solidify their faith as they prepare for what’s next.
